Julie Shafer – Background

Julie Shafer is a fourth-generation Colorado native, born and raised in Grand Junction. As such, she is uniquely and intimately knowledgeable about every area of western Colorado.  Her long history in the area translates into knowing which locations are most desirable for individual lifestyles as well as investment opportunities.  This long presence in the western Colorado community and years of successful selling experience, translates into priceless professional insight and knowledge for her clients.

Affiliations and Accomplishments

As a true native of Grand Junction, Julie understands how fortunate she is to live in and do business in the area.  She is a dedicated sales and marketing professional and has owned and managed media, marketing and events companies for many years.

After attending Mesa College, Julie managed a local distributorship and then began her work in media sales.  Working her way up to Sales Manager of a single station she eventually took over as General Manager of the five station group. During her radio broadcasting management and sales tenure she was the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions by the Colorado Broadcasters Association, including Sales Person of the year.

In 2004 Julie resigned her broadcasting position and launched her own Media and Events marketing firm.  Julie attracted a number of relatively large clients to her new company (Shafer Marketing, LLC) including Country Jam and Rock Jam.  Although no longer affiliated with the music events, Julie launched a new event called the Rocky Mountain Women’s Expo in 2014 which is held in the Fall each year.

Julie is the Director of the Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties and Prime Properties Major Accounts Program that was launched in January 2016.   Building business relationships and giving back to the community, non-profits and service organizations has always been a priority for her.

Julie was recently appointed to the Grand Junction Visitors and Convention Bureau Board of Directors.

A Personal Note

Life in Grand Junction is good in so many ways that Julie feels truly fortunate.  She and her husband have enjoyed success in a number of endeavors as varied as working for publicly held companies on the local and regional management level; owning, building and selling their own small businesses; owning and operating rental properties.  Julie and Mike are also fortunate to have their children and grandchildren in Grand Junction with them and enjoy the time they spend together.  Their recreational time is divided between Lake Powell, Grand Valley events, and the Colorado high country.



Stephanie Woolley – Background

Stephanie is a fourth-generation Colorado native, born and raised in Grand Junction.  Being a true native gives her a lifetime of knowledge and history as to the diversity that Western Colorado has to offer.  Her presence in the western Colorado community and years of working statewide with customers provides priceless information for her clients.

Affiliations and Accomplishments

Living a lifetime in western Colorado, Stephanie understands how the community has responded to the economic volatility, only to come out more diversified.

After graduating from Mesa State College with a degree in accounting, Stephanie worked in her field for a few years before landing with the Colorado Department of Transportation.  Stephanie quickly moved from the accounting field to the procurement field.  Stephanie is a nationally Certified Professional Procurement Buyer and is a lifetime member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.

Stephanie was awarded the Executive Excellence Award for her personal commitment, dedication, and outstanding customer service in getting the job done.

After 18 years with the Colorado Department of Transportation Stephanie is looking forward to the next challenge in her life.

A Personal Note

Stephanie is blessed with a wonderful husband, Trevor and two very incredible children.  Eli is currently a junior at Northern Arizona University and Megan is a 6th grader at Fruita Middle School.  Family recreational time is spent attending sporting activities, boating at Lake Powell, hiking, biking and enjoying the great outdoors of Western Colorado.

Beth Rubalcaba – Background

Beth is a Colorado native and has lived in Grand Junction for over 40 years. Her family has deep roots all over Western Colorado and she has extensive knowledge about the area.  Her understanding of the areas many diverse options will no doubt provide invaluable knowledge and insight to her clients.


Beth has owned and operated a successful small business in Western Colorado for the past 16 years. She is well versed in customer service and strives to exceed every expectation. She has employed many people over the years as well as served many customers. It is with her highest regard that she is able to serve with kindness, skill and integrity regardless of the size of transaction.


Beth’s biggest triumph is her family. She has been married 24 years to Matt and has three children. With both sides of the families being from Grand Junction family get-togethers and functions are numerous. Sean and Shafer are both students at Colorado Mesa University and Taylor is a sophomore at Grand Junction High School.  Her pride and love for her family is her driving factor to success. Love of family is truly her inspiration.
